What happened...

Well, we did it!

I'm not going to lie, it went OK. To be quite honest, the fair itself was not quite what we expected. It was more of a antique/ carboot sale that took place inside. There was only two other tables selling handmade things, all the rest were selling general stuff from home or antique jewelery etc. Also, the weather was not on our side - it was beautifully sunny all day and most people were on the beach (not that I blame them!)

However, we did sell a few things, Adam's prints went down well - especially the donkey and seagull ones. I didn't sell any cushions unfortunately, though I did sell some cards and brooch's.

We have come up with a strategy to try and book at stall at a more crafty themed fair - perhaps nearer Christmas when people have presents in mind. I think the end of August is a hard time to sell crafts as everyone is low on money thanks to the holidays, plus there are not really any seasonal activities going on like Easter or Valentines Day for example.

Thanks to everyone who came to see us on Sunday - we are going to concentrate on sites like Etsy and Folksy over the next few months so keep an eye out for those.
